Device control methods

AirNgin supports different control paths depending on the hardware capabilities of your product.

Internet

The standard path is cloud control through the AirNgin MQTT architecture. Direct Devices connect to AirNgin with their provisioned MQTT credentials and use the Direct Device topic contract.

SMS

Products that contain a GSM/SMS capability may also support the AirNgin SMS control flow. SMS is an additional transport for eligible products; it does not replace the normal AirNgin device identity and permission model.
